Econsult's David Crawford Served as Principal Consultant
to the Mayor's Advisory Commission on Construction
Industry Diversity
Since April of 2008, an Econsult team directed by Dr. David Crawford has provided pro bono support for the work of the Mayor's Advisory Commission on Construction Industry Diversity (MACCID) that was created by Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter. The Commission conducted a comprehensive analysis and review of the construction industry in the Philadelphia area and made 75 specific recommendations to increase the inclusion of minorities and women in the construction workforce as well as the inclusion of contracting businesses owned by minorities, women, and disabled persons.
In its final report, released on March 17, 2009, MACCID gratefully acknowledged “Econsult Corporation and Dr. David Crawford, which served as our principal consultant and provided world class statistical, research, intellectual and drafting support.”
