Kevin Gillen, Econsult Vice President, has been named as a board member of the Philadelphia Building Industry Association (BIA). The Philadelphia BIA is the local chapter of the National Association of Homebuilders, and acts as the primary voice of homebuilders in Philadelphia. The BIA has taken the lead in working with the City of Philadelphia to create a more transparent and efficient construction and development approval process, in order to improve housing outcomes for all Philadelphia.

The Council of Large Public Housing Authority (CLPHA) released Econsult's Report entitled “Public Housing Stimulus Funding: A Report on the Economic Impact of Recovery Act Capital Improvements.” Econsult estimated the national, state, and local economic impact of the capital spending by  20 sampled agencies. The sampled agencies received a total of $700 million in Recovery Act funds. (March 17, 2011)

Econsult Senior Advisor and experienced housing developer Sam Sherman, will head the renamed Passyunk Avenue Revitalization Corp.  The group formerly headed by Vincent Fumo under the name Citizens' Alliance for Better Neighborhoods, emerged Tuesday with a new name, Sam Sherman as new executive director, and a renewed commitment to assisting fast-gentrifying Passyunk Avenue, east of Broad Street.  (Philadelphia Inquirer January 19, 2011)
